Best thing to do in this situation is to laugh and make jokes about it. “Hah hah hah! Yeah, RIGHT! THAT lame-o? PLEASE! I have better taste than THAT! I just had to be nice ’cause my PARENTS were watchin’! Next time I see him, I’m gonna’ kick his butt!” Something along those lines. It works!
