This promo ad is actually a panel from the comic book version of Ralf the Destroyer (The Chronicles of Xyo) I had actually planned to run simultaneously with the strip at some point.
Ralf the Destroyer is now available on the WebToon platform, online and app! If you are someone who already uses the app, you’ll have a new way to read ‘Ralf the Destroyer” and if you don’t… it can’t hurt to try, it’s free! The mobile app is quick and easy to use. It allows subscribing and remembers where you left off reading as well as offering off-line viewing!
One other plus was that WebToon is integrated with Patreon. On that note, I’d like to mention that I’m in the process of “upping” the reward tiers with more content. I’m thinking character and preview sketches, digital email delivery, and new long form pages that will answer questions and reveal more about the characters… but I’m open to suggestions as well. I am still trying to get the logistics straightened out, but am actively moving in that direction.
Last but not least, I want to thank the patron saint of webcomics, Philip “Frumph” Hofer for helping me to FINALLY purge my site of that wretched pharma malware that plagued me for so long. I really could not have done it without him. He was a driving force behind the ComicPress theme, built the ComicEasel plug-in and is still creating WordPress tools to help comic creators on-line. I am supporting him on Patreon and I enthusiastically encourage anyone (who can) to do so as well.
I am in the process of reevaluating what I need to do to make “Ralf the Destroyer” a successful webcomic vs a successful newspaper comic. In truth, it could have been in papers, so I was told by a major syndicate editor, if I simply drop the character “Ralf”.
Well, here we are…
I now realize I need to focus on the web as it exists now and need to learn how to better monetize that (a difficult, but not impossible prospect for me). I am hopeful because I do believe in the characters and story regardless of how it is viewed. I also hope that you (the readers) who stop in to see new updates for Ralf will enjoy the ride and share it with your friends and family.

Hey everyone, I’m still kicking and spent the evening get the “ticks” off my dog… which is to say, I was cleaning off malware off the Ralf the Destroyer site with the help of the plugin “Anti-malware and Brute Force Security” by Eli, for WordPress.
I haven’t really done much to the site all year (aside from switching to Comic Easel) since I’ve been working full time picking things up and putting them down. So I’m trying to freshen the site up a bit, it’s long overdue. The changes will likely be small, like some of the fonts are hard to read and spacing is off… I am working on it. I got my old plugins working again and adjusted the main menu. I haven’t figured out how to get the archive list/thumbs back up, but it is on the list. Please let me know if the malware plugin missed something (though, it looks good so far), just be sure you clean out your browser cache so you’re not loading an old (infected) version.
Of course the reason for doing this is to get back to posting new strips again. I hate leaving Ralf in such a painful position… or at least the same one for so long… as I know how that feels. Anyway, just to let everyone know the site isn’t completely stale or abandoned.
